AKC® Dog Training
Join the fun at Chino’s Caring Kennel with AKC® Urban CGC and Trick Dog training sessions. Sign up for our AKC® CGC dog training services for a dedicated and results-driven approach to shaping canine behavior in public places. Help your dog tackle outdoor challenges such as crowds, traffic, and store visits with this class. Essential prerequisites are possessing the Canine Good Citizen title and an AKC® registration number. Take note that aggressive behavior is against the rules.
Join our AKC® Trick Dog Class and embark on an exciting adventure with your furry friend! For 6 weeks, your dog will learn numerous enjoyable tricks, such as playing dead, barking on cue, crawling, spinning in circles, jumping through a hoop, shaking paws, high-fiving, and additional tricks. Achieving an AKC® “Novice” or “Intermediate” Trick Dog Title is within reach for your dog through the demonstration of a set quantity of tricks.
The Novice test includes 10 tricks (or 5 with a CGC title), and Intermediate incorporates another 10 tricks. Led by AKC®-approved CGC Evaluators, our class is open to dogs aged 6 months and older with prerequisite completion of Basic Obedience or equivalent training. Our K-9 trainer kicks things off with a complimentary consultation and assessment to determine your dog’s suitability and assistance needs. Following the introductory session, your service dog trainer in Yorba Linda will tailor a K-9 training plan divided into three stages. These stages include group workshops like Basic, Urban Canine, and CGC Level I & II, in addition to individual lessons conducted either at your home or in alternate locations with a local K-9 trainer, board and train options, and private field sessions. The training regimen involves evaluations for credentials such as AKC Community Canine®, Urban Canine Good Citizen®, AKC Canine Good Citizen®, and a Public Access Test.
While the training is rigorous, not all dogs may pass, and some dogs might not be good candidates, successful completion results in a Certification ID card.
