Obedience Training

Each week, you’ll enjoy hour-long sessions alongside daily 45-minute practice sessions, focusing on handling common behavioral challenges and fundamental commands such as loose leash walking, sit and down stays, recall, and heel. Moreover, we give priority to stressing the value of a balanced diet and regular exercise, instilling proper greeting behavior, and reinforcing obedience commands with distractions reaching up to 30 feet. Service Dog Training
Engage in our San Dimas service dog training – a thorough program conducted by a certified service dog trainer. A K-9 trainer will begin with a free consultation and assessment to determine your dog’s suitability and assistance needs. After the consultation, your service dog trainer in San Dimas will craft a customized K-9 training program spanning three phases. These phases include group sessions like CGC Level I & II, Urban Canine, and Basic, in addition to board and train options, private field sessions, and individual lessons held either at your home or in another location with a local K-9 trainer. Testing for certifications like a Public Access Test, Urban Canine Good Citizen®, AKC Canine Good Citizen®, and AKC Community Canine® will also be part of the training.
Even though the training is intensive, not every dog will succeed, and some may not be suitable, those that do successfully complete the program receive a Certification ID card. Your K-9 trainer in San Dimas will ask that you make yourself available for instruction and lessons, as you’ll be an active participant (as long as you are physically able) in your dog’s comprehensive training. Train smarter at Chino’s Caring Kennel with AKC® Urban CGC and Trick Dog programs. Register for our AKC® CGC dog training program for a comprehensive and hands-on approach to refining canine behavior in public environments. Get your dog ready to face outdoor hurdles such as crowds, traffic, and stores with this class. Prerequisites include the Canine Good Citizen title and an AKC® registration number. Be aware that aggressive behavior is not tolerated.
Join our AKC® Trick Dog Class and embark on an exciting adventure with your furry friend! During the 6-week course, your dog will master numerous thrilling tricks, including spinning in circles, playing dead, shaking paws, barking on cue, jumping through a hoop, crawling, high-fiving, and many others. Your canine companion can earn an AKC® “Intermediate” or “Novice” Trick Dog Title by showcasing a certain number of tricks.
For the Novice evaluation, your dog must demonstrate 10 tricks (or 5 with a CGC title), and Intermediate adds another set of 10 tricks. Directed by AKC®-accredited CGC Evaluators, our workshop is open to dogs aged 6 months and up who have completed Basic Obedience or a comparable training regimen.
