AKC® Dog Training
AKC® Urban CGC and Trick Dog training at Chino’s Caring Kennel make learning fun and rewarding. Be a part of our AKC® CGC dog training sessions to access a systematic and practical method for bettering canine behavior in public environments. Get your dog prepared for outdoor hurdles like crowds, traffic, and stores through this class. Mandatory conditions include having the Canine Good Citizen title and an AKC® registration. Take note that aggressive behavior is against the rules.
Enroll your furry friend in the AKC® Trick Dog Class and embark on a joyful journey together! Over 6 weeks, your dog will be introduced to numerous enjoyable tricks, including shaking paws, barking on command, jumping through a hoop, spinning in circles, playing dead, high-fiving, crawling, and more. Securing an AKC® “Intermediate” or “Novice” Trick Dog Title is attainable for your dog through the performance of a certain number of tricks.
In the Novice evaluation, your dog will display 10 tricks (or 5 with a CGC title), and Intermediate requires mastering an additional 10 tricks. Managed by AKC®-approved CGC Evaluators, our workshop caters to dogs aged 6 months and above who have successfully completed Basic Obedience or an equivalent training curriculum. Don’t let the opportunity slip by to bond, improve skills, and have a blast with your beloved dog!
Obedience Training
Embrace the fun and effectiveness of our Group Obedience courses. Work closely with a personalized group of owners and their dogs, where a dedicated local dog trainer will guide you through a program. Each week, you’ll enjoy hour-long sessions alongside daily 45-minute practice sessions, focusing on handling common behavioral challenges and fundamental commands such as recall, down and sit stays, heel, and loose leash walking. In addition, we emphasize the importance of teaching correct greetings, reinforcing obedience commands in the presence of distractions up to 30 feet away, and promoting healthy eating habits and regular physical activity. Our two levels of Intermediate Obedience Training further enhance your dog’s skills, preparing them for the AKC® Canine Good Citizen and Community Canine evaluations, offering legal benefits and a well-mannered pet certification. Let us guide your dog to excellence in obedience and social manners!
Group Classes
Group classes offer a structured learning environment where dogs can engage with other dogs and people while developing obedience skills. Training in a social setting strengthens impulse control, appropriate behavior, and focus, even in the presence of distractions. These sessions are excellent for dogs just beginning to learn commands and manners, as well as those advancing to higher levels of training. Additionally, group classes provide an enjoyable and interactive way for both you and your dog to deepen your bond through shared learning experiences.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are a great choice for pet parents who prefer a personalized training experience or for dogs that require extra attention. These sessions are carefully structured to align with your dog’s unique behavioral goals and training needs. Whether you’re working on refining obedience, preparing for advanced training, or correcting behavioral issues, our experienced trainers will develop a personalized plan for success. Dogs that find group settings overwhelming will benefit from private lessons, which provide a structured and calm environment that supports steady progress.
Behavior Modification
Dogs can face behavioral hurdles such as aggression, anxiety, excessive barking, or reactivity, impacting their ability to thrive. Our specialized behavior modification programs are tailored to address these concerns with customized training plans aimed at fostering self-discipline and confidence. With positive reinforcement-based techniques and expert instruction, we reshape undesirable behaviors and create a more secure, trusting bond between you and your pet. Whether your dog struggles with fear-based triggers or needs better impulse control, our trainers are ready to assist.
Service Dog Training
Enroll your dog in our San Bernardino service dog training – a detailed program spearheaded by a certified service dog trainer. Our K-9 trainer starts the process with a no-cost consultation and assessment, evaluating your dog’s suitability and support requirements. Following the introductory session, your service dog trainer in San Bernardino will devise a tailored K-9 training plan divided into three stages. These stages include group classes like Urban Canine, Basic, and CGC Level I & II, as well as private field sessions, one-on-one sessions either at home or at an off-site location with a local K-9 trainer, and train and board options. Your dog’s training will incorporate assessments for credentials like Urban Canine Good Citizen®, AKC Canine Good Citizen®, a Public Access Test, and AKC Community Canine®..
Even though the training is intensive, not all dogs will succeed, and some may not be well-qualified, those that do successfully complete the program receive a Certification ID card. Unless you are physically unable to participate, your K-9 trainer in San Bernardino will advise that your active involvement and readiness for instruction and lessons are vital for your dog’s comprehensive training. Contact us to get more information and to set up your consultation at a time that suits you.
Board and Train
Our board and train program offers a structured training experience that allows dogs to improve their obedience skills while staying in a premier boarding facility. Throughout their stay, expert trainers will work closely with your dog to reinforce positive behaviors and encourage steady progress. With a focus on consistency and hands-on instruction, this program helps dogs gain confidence and discipline. For owners who need a comprehensive training solution, this program provides an effective and supervised approach.
