Board and Train

Obedience Training

Each week, you’ll enjoy hour-long sessions alongside daily 45-minute practice sessions, focusing on handling common behavioral challenges and fundamental commands such as recall, down and sit stays, heel, and loose leash walking. Additionally, we focus on proper greetings, nutrition, exercise, and obedience commands with distractions up to 30 feet away. Advance your dog’s abilities with our Intermediate Obedience Training levels, tailored to prepare them for AKC® Canine Good Citizen and Community Canine evaluations, providing a well-mannered pet certification and legal advantages. AKC® Dog Training
Chino’s Caring Kennel proudly offers AKC® Trick Dog and Urban CGC training to challenge and engage your pup. Participate in our AKC® Trick Dog Class and indulge in a joyful journey alongside your furry pal! Over the course of 6 weeks, your furry friend will be taught a range of enjoyable tricks, like spinning in circles, shaking paws, playing dead, barking on cue, crawling, high-fiving, jumping through a hoop, and more. Your furry friend can receive an AKC® “Intermediate” or “Novice” Trick Dog Title by displaying a specific number of tricks.
In the Novice evaluation, your dog will display 10 tricks (or 5 with a CGC title), and Intermediate requires mastering an additional 10 tricks. Administered by AKC®-licensed CGC Evaluators, our class invites dogs aged 6 months and older who have completed Basic Obedience or a comparable training regimen. Embrace this moment to foster a stronger bond, enhance skills, and cherish joyful moments with your furry friend!
Take part in our AKC® CGC dog training sessions to access a systematic and practical approach to improving canine behavior in public spaces. Prepare your dog for outdoor encounters such as crowds, traffic, and shopping trips through this class. Prerequisites include the Canine Good Citizen title and an AKC® registration number. It should be noted that aggressive behavior is not allowed.
Service Dog Training
Enroll your dog in our Montclair service dog training – a detailed program spearheaded by a certified service dog trainer. Our K-9 trainer kicks off the process with a complimentary consultation and assessment, evaluating your dog’s compatibility and support requirements. Upon completing the initial consultation, your service dog trainer in Montclair will tailor a K-9 training program covering three phases. These phases include group workshops such as CGC Level I & II, Basic, and Urban Canine, along with train and board options, individual lessons held either at your residence or elsewhere with a local K-9 trainer, and private field sessions. The program includes assessments for credentials such as a Public Access Test, Urban Canine Good Citizen®, AKC Community Canine®, and AKC Canine Good Citizen®.
Although the training is rigorous, not all dogs will make it through to the end of training, and some may not be the right fit, those that do pass will receive a Certification ID card.
