Training Options

Our training programs are designed to accommodate dogs of all ages, breeds, and behavior levels, whether your puppy needs basic obedience or your adult dog requires specialized training for aggression or reactivity. We offer private instruction, full-immersion board and train programs, and structured group classes, each based on your dog’s individual needs.

Obedience Training

Explore a dynamic and effective training approach for your dog with our Group Obedience courses. With other owners and dogs in your group, you’ll share experiences and work with a dedicated local dog trainer. Delve into daily 45-minute practice sessions combined with weekly hour-long sessions, mastering essential commands like loose leash walking, recall, heel, and down and sit stays. Additionally, we focus on reinforcing obedience commands with distractions within a 30-foot radius, promoting a healthy diet and regular exercise, and teaching the right way to greet. Take your dog’s abilities to the next level with our Intermediate Obedience Training courses, designed to prepare them for evaluations like AKC® Canine Good Citizen and Community Canine, providing legal advantages and a well-mannered pet certification. Join us to witness your dog’s journey to mastery in obedience and social manners!

Service Dog Training

Join our Claremont service dog training – a comprehensive program directed by a certified service dog trainer. Our K-9 trainer begins with a free consultation and assessment to ascertain your dog’s suitability and assistance requirements. Following the initial evaluation, your service dog trainer in Claremont will create a tailored K-9 training strategy across three phases. These stages consist of group sessions like CGC Level I & II, Basic, and Urban Canine, alongside one-on-one sessions conducted either at your home or in alternate locations with a local K-9 trainer, board and train options, and private field sessions. The training course includes evaluations for credentials such as Urban Canine Good Citizen®, AKC Community Canine®, AKC Canine Good Citizen®, and a Public Access Test.

Because of the intensive training, not every dog will pass, and some may not be suitable candidates, those who complete the full course successfully will be awarded a Certification ID card. Your participation and availability for instruction and lessons are crucial for your dog’s comprehensive training, as requested by your K-9 trainer in Claremont – provided that you are physically capable of playing an active role. Don’t hesitate to reach out to us for additional details and to schedule your consultation appointment.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are a great choice for pet parents who prefer a personalized training experience or for dogs that require extra attention. These one-on-one sessions are tailored to meet your dog’s unique training goals and behavioral challenges. Whether you’re addressing behavioral concerns, preparing for advanced training, or strengthening obedience, our expert trainers will create a customized plan to set your dog up for success. For dogs that struggle in group settings, private training provides a structured and distraction-free space where they can learn effectively.

Behavior Modification

Dogs can face behavioral struggles like reactivity, aggression, anxiety, or excessive barking, which can disrupt their well-being and your household. Our expert behavior modification programs target these concerns through specialized training plans designed to boost confidence and self-regulation. Using positive reinforcement and expert techniques, we work to replace negative behaviors with appropriate responses, fostering a more stable relationship between you and your pet. Whether your pet requires better impulse control or struggles with fear-driven reactions, our skilled trainers are prepared to assist.

Board and Train

Designed for busy owners or those looking for a thorough training option, our board and train program combines professional instruction with exceptional boarding services. This immersive experience provides dogs with the chance to develop critical obedience and behavioral skills while being cared for in a safe and comfortable environment. Throughout their stay, expert trainers will implement structured training and consistent reinforcement to encourage lasting progress. By the end of the program, dogs will have gained valuable training in a supervised, controlled setting.

Group Classes

Dogs benefit from structured group classes by learning obedience skills while interacting with fellow dogs and people in a controlled environment. Training in a group setting reinforces focus, enhances impulse control, and helps shape appropriate behavior, even with potential distractions. These sessions are well-suited for dogs just starting with basic commands or those advancing their training in a lively, social atmosphere. Additionally, group classes offer a fun and engaging way for you and your dog to connect through interactive training experiences.

AKC® Dog Training

Give your pup an edge with AKC® Trick Dog and Urban CGC training at Chino’s Caring Kennel. Join the AKC® Trick Dog Class and indulge in a joyful journey with your beloved dog! Over 6 weeks, your dog will be introduced to a multitude of exciting tricks, such as spinning in circles, shaking paws, high-fiving, playing dead, barking on cue, crawling, jumping through a hoop, and additional tricks. Attaining an AKC® “Novice” or “Intermediate” Trick Dog Title is possible for your dog through the performance of a specific number of tricks.

The Novice assessment requires dogs to show off 10 tricks (or 5 if they hold a CGC title), while Intermediate includes an additional 10 tricks. Led by AKC®-authorized CGC Evaluators, our workshop is accessible to canines aged 6 months and older who have successfully completed Basic Obedience or an equivalent curriculum. Make the most of this opportunity to foster a deeper bond, refine skills, and enjoy playful moments with your loyal companion!

Be a part of our AKC® CGC dog training sessions to access a systematic and practical method for bettering canine behavior in public environments. Help your dog learn to handle outdoor experiences such as crowds, traffic, and stores with this class. Key requirements involve acquiring the Canine Good Citizen title and being AKC® registered. Take note that aggressive behavior is not permitted.
